While the heart of what we got going on at USF is in our weekly small
group Bible studies, we also get together every week for what we call
Common Ground. Basically, Commonground is a place to hang-out, worship
together , be challenged by God’s Word, pray and grow as a community.
One Place One Reason
Explanation of the name:
Common Ground is a place created by students where we can come together
in One Place for One Reason and that was to form Common Ground both with
God and each other. Wanting to make this experience a weekly event so that
we no longer are isolated but found in the common ground that Jesus gives
us. The overwhelming success of the event showed how students wanted to live
lives in community, no longer separated and isolated. That’s what we want to
provide, a place where students once separated from God can come find the
common ground that’s found in Jesus.
